Celeb trainer Isaac Boots is launching an activewear line that holds some extra weight…literally.

Each of the eight products in the Torch’d powered by Kilogear collection features removable weights to enhance workouts or day-to-day movements with additional sculpting and calorie burning.

“Even if you’re not working out, you’re burning 40 percent more than you would if you weren’t wearing it,” Boots said. “You’re keeping your body in the state of activation and it looks hot.”

While Boots set out to create multifunctional activewear in partnership with Kilogear, a weighted fitness apparel brand, creating a collection that was chic was essential.

“The collection really is a love letter to the women who inspired me like Brigitte Bardot, Faye Dunaway, Catherine Deneuve,” said Boots, noting he has worked with Dunaway for more than 14 years. She was also the maid-of-honor at the trainer’s wedding.

“I love old Hollywood and I love old glamour,” Boots told Beauty Inc. “I wanted to marry this idea of dressing chic and dressing up and feeling glamorous with the American ideals of working out and wellness, because both of those ideals are synonymous with who I am and Torch’d is my brand. I live and breathe it.”

With this, Boots opted for several classic, yet fashion-forward items, including weighted arm and leg Power Bands, Thigh Master shorts, Leg Master unitards, Side Shaper tanks, Core Sculpt long-sleeve shrugs and Booty Lift leggings; prices range from $30 to $140. While Boots has been working with Kilogear to develop the line for the past year, he really recognized the need for this sort of product while traveling and working with on-the-go clients.

“[With] traveling so much and most of my clients, they’re on set, they’re on tour, and traveling with weights can be cumbersome and so I was like, ‘Well, why don’t we mix it? Why don’t we make it so that it’s easy to travel with, easy to pack and you just throw it on,’” he said. “You get your workout in and then you can literally go to lunch in it and look chic.”

This launch is the latest addition to Boots’ Torch’d brand, which started with his signature workouts and has expanded into merchandise, workout gear and CBD patches and gummies, which hit the market in June. With these recent launches, Boots is continuing to expand and build out the Torch’d world.

“They’re all pieces of what Torch’d is. I’ve always said that Torch’d is not just a workout. It is a lifestyle. It is a community,” Boots said. “Whether it’s my patches or my gummies it’s all a part of the experience.”

The collection, which is available starting Friday, will make its debut on Saturday at The Plaza Hotel during a New York Fashion Week presentation, featuring models like Lisa Rinna.

“I’m a New Yorker. I’ve lived here since 1998 and when I think of iconic places in New York City, The Plaza is number one,” Boots said. “The idea of kicking off this collection at New York Fashion Week at this iconic venue with dear friends…it feels like the celebratory way to introduce it.”

The collection is expected to generate $1 million to $1.5 million in first-year sales and add 15 percent growth for partner Kilogear, according to the brand. This is the first of eight collections that will launch over the next two years.
