Tyra Banks borrowed her “smizing” expertise for a new collaboration with Karen Millen. The model was tapped as the face of the brand’s “Icons Series Vol. 5,” a campaign of images that showcase Banks wearing her favorite fall fashion trends. The pieces are part of the new Karen Miller x Tyra Banks capsule collection.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Karen Millen Icons Series, and feel honored to be featured alongside some of the most iconic supermodels in history. It humbles me to call them peers,” Banks said via statement.
Banks, who rose to heightened fame in the ’90s, also served in the role of creative director for the campaign, which is intended to uplift women regardless of size, age or style.
In one of the images, the former host of “America’s Next Supermodel” can be seen embracing tailored details in a leather oversize trenchcoat ($1,152) with sharp lapels. Another shot sees the model wearing the caddy midi dress ($600), which features a sleeved cape.
“People are going to channel their inner catwalk in these dynamic pieces as they power-strut down the runways of their world. The collection exudes glam meets luxury, and I love that the price point makes them affordable for everybody everywhere,” said Banks.
Millen’s Icons Series has been going since 2022, where each time the brand picks supermodels who have ruled both the catwalk and magazine covers throughout the ’80s, ’90s and other memorable eras. Helena Christensen, Paulina Porizkova, Elizabeth Hurley and Elle Macpherson are just some of the famed icons who have appeared in the Karen Millen Icon Series.
“We are so thrilled to work with Tyra Banks, her radiant charisma, natural beauty and steadfast diligence make her an indisputable Icon. With female empowerment at the heart of the brand, this latest campaign promises to embody the core values of our customers,” Natasha Hackett, the brand director for Karen Millen, said in a statement.
Prices for the Karen Millen x Tyra Banks capsule collection, now available at karenmillen.com, range from $136 to $1,152.
