“It was really hard for me to do a book,” Evangelista said to WWD. “I had to get my head around the thought that people may enjoy a book of me. I had more fun making it with Steven [Meisel] like we did making the photos. We were in agreement almost 99 percent of the time. It was just fun and it’s a celebration of our work.”
Evangelista is also headlining the new Apple TV+ docuseries “The Super Models,” which premieres on Wednesday. The documentary takes a closer look at the careers of Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington.
Evangelista’s modeling career began in the ’80s when she signed with Elite Model Management after moving from Canada to New York. Throughout her iconic career she worked with major brands, from Chanel to Versace.
