Natalie Portman updated a classic silhouette with contrasting colors for the 2023 United Nations Sustainable Development SDG Summit on Monday in New York City. Portman’s outfit consisted of a tuxedo blazer in cream with black lapel and matching trousers with a black stripe detail on the sides. The actress coordinated her look with Alexandre Birman black suede pointed-toe pumps.
When it comes to her style, the star usually works with stylist Ryan Hastings, whose clients also include Anya Taylor-Joy and Jennifer Aniston.
Portman attended the summit to speak with United Nations head of global communications, Melissa Ruth Fleming, about gender equality. The topic was “From Equality to Equity: Empowering Women and Girls Everywhere.”
“Natalie shared her perspectives on how we can all do more to invest in women, to amplify and celebrate their voices, and to combat the violence they face both online and offline,” Fleming wrote on Instagram, recapitulating the event.
Portman is a long supporter of the global Spotlight Initiative, a partnership between the United Nations and European Union which helps put an end to violence against women and girls.
Earlier this month, the actress wore a tweed Miu Miu skirt set to attend the 2023 IAA Mobility Conference in Germany, where she spoke about affordable and sustainable vehicle technology.
The 2023 United Nations Sustainable Development SDG Summit marks the mid-point to achieving the United Nations 2030 agenda, progressing toward its sustainable development goals.
