LeBron James arrived for the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets game on Tuesday in Denver, taking a military-inspired approach to style. The NBA star arrived wearing a custom Damoflage jacket, trousers, a green leather Speedy bag, sunglasses and black derby shoes — all from Louis Vuitton.

James’ custom look is an extension of Louis Vuitton menswear director Pharrell Williams’ first collection for the brand unveiled during its men’s spring 2024 show during Paris Men’s Fashion Week. The “Damoflage” pattern is a reworking of Louis Vuitton’s signature Damier check pattern with camouflage.

“With the Damier, naturally, it presents like a chessboard, and so we use the squares of the chessboard as a sense of, like, pixelation, and we did everything from artistic motifs to one that I’m very proud of, which is Damoflage,” Williams said ahead of the Paris runway show in June, referring to a motif splicing the heritage pattern with camouflage.

“I’m super proud of it because of the way that it animates on all of the apparel and the footwear, and even in the trunks,” he added. “And this is going to be something that will come back. It’ll be seasonal in different expressions.”

Although James scored points for fashion ahead of hitting the court, Tuesday’s game was a tough one for the Lakers. The Los Angeles team lost to the Denver Nuggets 119 to 107. The Nuggets are a tough one to beat after coming out victorious in the 2023 NBA Championship, marking their first championship win after 47 seasons in the NBA.

James has won a total of four NBA championships, including one with the Cleveland Cavaliers, two with the Miami Heat and one with the Lakers.
