Dubbed ‘True Religion x Playboy World Tour’, the collection launches at select retail locations, including PacSun and Revolve, as well as online through Truereligion.com. The release will be staged, with the collection hitting stores in the United States starting on Thursday, followed by its international debut on December 1.
“This capsule collection was a terrific opportunity for our design team to have a lot of fun bringing the iconic Rabbit Head logo to life across many of True Religion’s key styles,” said Michael Buckley, True Religion chief executive officer.
“Like True Religion, Playboy is also undergoing an incredible transformation and reinvention of its brand and we are thrilled to partner with them on this collaboration.”
The collection boasts a variety of standout styles, with the Good Bunny Varsity Jacket taking center stage. This piece features an embroidered outline of the Playboy Rabbit Head logo on the right front and a solid chenille Rabbit Head silhouette atop the True Religion horseshoe logo on the back.
Meanwhile, True Religion’s signature Big T stitch was used to add a distinctive touch by embroidering the Rabbit Head silhouette on the front of hoodies, popping out of logo’d pockets on jeans, joggers, and denim skirts. Prices start at $39 for tees and reach up to $199 for varsity jackets.
“We’ve been big admirers of True Religion’s resurgence in the market and love how they have interpreted the Rabbit Head logo on so many terrific products,” added Allison Kopcha, chief business development officer and licensing at Playboy.
“The True Religion partnership is a perfect example of how the right product allows new audiences to engage in Playboy’s core DNA.”
